Civil 3D BIM Coordinator Role Summary

This senior role involves providing technical leadership in building information modeling (BIM) for Civil 3D projects. Key responsibilities include coordinating with multiple disciplines, preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings, managing the BIM construction process from design development to as-built stage, and integrating iPad/AM data exchange.

Critical Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, Subassembly Composer & Part-Builder
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD for drawing, linkage, and cleanup
  • Familiarity with Design Review for collaboration with professional staff
  • Expertise in Navisworks Manage for clash detection & resolution

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the BIM Manager with any Civil 3D project
  2. Work independently and make technical decisions for US, UK & Asia-specific projects
  3. Handle Landscape, Dry & Wet Utilities, Grading, Highway Modelling, and Plantation projects
  4. Prepare coordinated shop drawings and as-built drawings
  5. Prepare earthwork grading cut & fill analysis, cross sections, and quantity take-offs
  6. Prepare detailed plans and profiles for pipe networks & manholes as per IFC drawings
  7. Coordinate with multiple disciplines using Navisworks for clash detection and resolution
  8. Manage BIM construction process from DD stage to As-Built stage
  9. Assist with estimation tasks and manage a small team
  10. Integrate iPad/AM data exchange and generate COBie data
  11. Collaborate with design teams and clients to actively solve problems
  12. Ensure project timelines are met and work efficiently under pressure
  13. Maintain a positive, responsible, and professional attitude, open to challenges
