Job Summary

  • To assume the role of a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, focusing on the development and deployment of highly available and scalable systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex, highly available and highly scalable solutions using public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize projects, and lead the design, implementation, and testing of cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines to automate deployment and testing of applications, ensuring consistency and efficiency in software delivery.
  • Contribute to the availability management process, analyzing service and component availability, reliability, and maintainability to ensure high levels of uptime and performance.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, providing expert advice on their application and execution of specialized tasks.
  • Develop, document, and implement changes based on requests for change, applying change control procedures and ensuring compliance with agreed standards.
  • Administer recording of activities, logging of results, and documentation of technical activity undertaken.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, along with relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, ITIL, and DevOps.
  • More than 5 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years building and maintaining systems in AWS, and a strong background in DevOps or Application Ops.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, and seniority as an individual contributor.
