Job Description:

A skilled operations professional is required to oversee the aggregation centre and project management functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical, mechanical, or plastics engineering with a proven track record of success in operations and sales/customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network with various companies, vendors, and stakeholders to identify high-quality raw materials.
  • Manage segregation of scrap based on quality standards.
  • Lead production teams to ensure production as planned.
  • Suggest go-to-market strategies for sales.
  • Work with partners to add value to feedstock.
  • Create a market for different items.
  • Manage factory compliance and profit/loss accounts.
  • Implement SOPs for aggregation, segregation, QA/QC of plastic waste.
  • Continuously improve SOPs using lean manufacturing principles and six sigma design processes.
  • Identify and implement key projects to increase productivity and hit targets.
  • Ensure projects are implemented on time and within approved budgets.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Provide timely reports on daily, weekly, and monthly progress.
  • Standardize machine inspection check sheets, pre-dispatch check sheets, and operation check sheets at site level.
  • Ensure segregation is carried out according to required quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Plastics Engineering; MBA would be an added advantage.
  • 5-7 years of experience in operations.
  • Good sales/customer relationship management skills, negotiation skills, vendor/stakeholder management skills, and networking skills.
  • Good understanding of plastics and plastic recycling.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects that focus the team and drive results.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission.
  • Fluent in English and Tamil; Hindi would be an advantage.
