The ideal candidate for this Software Engineering Analyst position possesses strong domain expertise in life insurance products, including configuration, model development, and modeling. They should have a deep understanding of calculation methodologies for cash values, account values, surrender values, and benefit calculations based on option value.
This role requires an experienced analyst to guide the team on problem-solving approaches, interpret data assumptions, application codes, and results from models, and provide validation explanations. The successful candidate will also review outputs prepared by the team and prepare documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications to support life insurance product administration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues related to life insurance products.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in software engineering, preferably in the life insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with actuarial software and policy systems.
- Cleared at least 5 CT level papers (CT1, CT3, and CT5).
