As a Sustaining Engineer, you will be part of a global expert team in data management. Your primary responsibilities include troubleshooting software, hardware, and networking issues in a fast-paced primary storage market.

Job Duties :

  • Quickly analyze customer issues to isolate product problems or environmental configurations.
  • Work directly with development engineering, test, and service engineers to develop solutions for customer issues.
  • Duplicate customer issues as needed.
  • Oversee and administer internal Engineering labs.
  • Review code to mitigate or fix customer issues.
  • Inclusion in the Sustaining On-call roster.

Requirements :

  • BS Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
  • 3+ years experience working in a Linux environment.
  • 3+ years software development experience in C or C++.
  • Experience in writing scripts: Python, Perl, shell scripting, and other scripting tools.
  • Experience using debugging tools like GDB.
  • Experience with Git and Jira.
  • Experience with object storage.
  • Experience with distributed systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with advanced networking configuration of switches and operating systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with RAID, VTL, NAS (NFS/CIFS), Fibre Channel protocol, iSCSI protocol, and other storage-related technologies is highly desirable.
  • Experience with databases is highly desirable.
  • Experience with REST APIs is highly desirable.
  • Able to multitask effectively and communicate effectively both verbally and digitally.
