Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a talented software engineer to help drive innovation in voice-driven AI and visual experiences.


About the Role:

This role involves developing features that present innovative speech-backed visuals on Echo Show, Echo Spot, and similar screened devices. As a key member of the team, you will partner with other services and device teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain new systems ensuring minimal latency and high responsiveness at scale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect scalable systems leveraging expertise in data infrastructure web services APIs and device frameworks.
  • Work on complex technical challenges applying problem-solving skills and creative thinking to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Partner with product managers and designers to define and prioritize product requirements ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Full software development life cycle experience including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
