Job Title: API Developer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an API Developer Specialist. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and managing APIs using Google APIGEE Edge or APIGEE X.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable APIs using APIGEE Edge / APIGEE X.
  • Implement API proxies, policies (security, traffic management, mediation, etc.), and custom scripts to ensure high-performance applications.
  • Collaborate with architects and backend teams to define API contracts and integration strategies.
  • Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and meet performance benchmarks through rigorous testing and analysis.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and availability issues in real-time.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless API deployments and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed API documentation and version control systems.
  • Work closely with developers to implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in API development using APIGEE.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with security standards and protocols such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.
  • Proficiency in using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, and other agile development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), but also AWS/Azure acceptable.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
