Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electronic products and systems meet stringent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and regulatory agencies to implement EMC/EMI requirements.
  • Review electronic component datasheets and application notes for the development of EMC protection schemes.
  • Analyze schematics and circuit board layouts for adherence to EMC design practices and guidelines.
  • Formulate system and circuit board level EMC protection (filtering, shielding, etc).
  • Involve in design calculations, conduct design reviews to ensure that electronic devices and systems are designed for EMI and EMC compliance.
  • Interpret EMC standards and regulations to develop test plans and procedures for compliance testing.
  • Conduct EMC testing (Pre-Dv, DV and PV) and analysis on electronic products and systems to assess electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility.
  • Analyze test results, identify EMC issues, and recommend design modifications and mitigation strategies to achieve compliance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams on EMC design principles, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Negotiate with customers for EMC/EMI deviations where it is relevant/applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in performance of EMI/EMC analyses and testing.
  • Familiarity with Automotive EMC/EMI test standards, requirements, test methods, and setup/performance of testing.
  • Experience in digital, analog circuit design, and schematic capture.
  • Understanding of PCB layout process and tools.
  • Proficiency with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscillators, signal generators, and EMC chambers).
  • Hands-on knowledge of RF and EMC standards (FCC, CISPR-25, ECE-R10, AIS-004, IEC, EN).
  • Ability to manage and ensure traceability between product SW requirements and SW validation tests and test scripts (100% coverage required).
  • Proficiency in EMC documentation like test plans, procedures, reports, and certificates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
