Chief Model Developer

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of Wholesale Rating Models, while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders to ensure effective risk governance and practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Establish a Centre of Excellence for Wholesale Rating Models, providing expert guidance and contributing to the development of best practices in model development and validation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with multiple stakeholders across the credit lifecycle, including Limit Management, Collateral Management, RAROC, Customer Rating, and prepare presentations for Senior Management committees.
- Tactical Delivery: Design and implement end-to-end processes for development, validation, and lifecycle management of Wholesale Rating Models, including Corporate/Wholesale Rating Models, Master Rating Scale calibration, and low default portfolios.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a team of modelers and consultants, driving capability building and continuous learning within the team.
- Mandatory: Strong foundation in Statistics and Mathematics, hands-on experience in developing and validating Wholesale Rating Models, and a deep understanding of model lifecycle best practices.
- Desirable: Postgraduate or professional qualification in risk management or finance, experience of developing teams in a multi-jurisdictional organization, and understanding of BCBS frameworks.
