Senior Software Developer Lead

As a seasoned technical lead, you will oversee all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide architectural guidance and conduct code/design reviews to ensure quality assurance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements in the capital markets domain.
  • Guide teams in the development and support of high-availability financial applications.

Technical Delivery:

  • Lead architecture, design, and development of web-based enterprise applications using Java (JSP, Struts, EJB).
  • Review and approve designs, technical specifications, and architecture artifacts.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintainability.
  • Implement event-driven architecture for real-time systems.
  • Integrate and deploy on IBM WAS, Apache, Tomcat, and Windows environments.
  • Implement messaging and asynchronous communication via IBM MQ.
  • Optimize SQL queries and data access on IBM DB2.

Application Development & Maintenance:

  • Drive development using JSP, Struts, EJB, and event-driven architecture.
  • Oversee integration and deployment on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Tomcat, Apache.
  • Implement messaging and event processing using IBM MQ.
  • Optimize backend operations with IBM DB2 and complex SQL queries.
  • Ensure platform scalability, availability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.

Platform Management:

  • Manage core modules including Investor and Broker eServices Platforms, Electronic Contract Note (ECN) Management, Securities Settlements and Depository Applications, and Corporate Actions.

DevOps and QA:

  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Anchor the QA team dedicated for specific test strategy, QA reviews, and quality compliance.
  • Manage L3 support, bug fixing, and performance optimization.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work with regulated entities including Depositories, MIIs, Brokers, Banks.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and secure solutions.

Governance and Reviews:

  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
