Siemens Energy is looking for talented professionals to join our team. As a Robotics Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing robotics solutions on our factory floor.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in electrical equipment, and be responsible for studying factory operations, identifying opportunities for robotic integration, and leading the implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions.

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead project teams in pursuit of establishing manufacturing processes with the use of robotic solutions, resulting in improved delivery timelines, better customer response, and supporting customers in meeting their growing demand for electrical products.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute robotics projects focused on material logistics, assembly operations, testing, and quality control within switchgear and transformer manufacturing.
  • Design, evaluate, and recommend robotic-based automation solutions tailored to the specific needs of switchgear and transformer production.
  • Configure and optimize robotic systems for applications such as material handling grippers, tool changers, assembly fixtures, testing devices, and inspection tools.
  • Perform hands-on integration of robotic systems, end-of-arm tools (EOATs), and other machines to enhance automation and streamline processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automation engineering, robotics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in switchgear and transformer manufacturing, with at least 10 years in robotics or automation integration within a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge on programming skills such as XML, C#, J Script, VBA, Python, etc.
  • Experience with industrial and collaborative robots such as FANUC or equivalent, proven track record of deploying and optimizing robotic systems in industrial settings.
Desired Skills
  • Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and layouts, with some mechanical design capabilities.
  • Familiarity with robot simulation studies and experience using robot simulation software is an added advantage.
