System Operations Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing critical system operations for the finance and banking industries. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee production systems during night shifts to ensure smooth operations and prompt response to incidents.
  • Execute End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) job processes to guarantee timely and accurate completion.
  • Coordinate Disaster Recovery (DR) failover activities to ensure the availability and reliability of critical systems.
  • Perform system patching activities to ensure that all systems are up-to-date with the latest security and functionality updates.
  • Collaborate with different teams to address and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and share comprehensive periodic status reports detailing performance, incidents, and improvements made during the week.
  • Administer Linux-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Evaluate and optimize system performance.
  • Cultivate relationships with software vendors and OEMs.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with EOD/BOD job handling and managing DR failover activities.
  • System patching processes and coordination with different teams.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in administering Linux systems.
  • Basic understanding of database systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during the night shift.
  • Dedication towards duties and responsibilities and taking initiatives.
