Job Title:
Senior Database Administrator

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in database administration and performance tuning. They should have expertise in SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Snowflake environments. Additionally, they should have experience working with Amazon RDS and familiarity with data engineering tools like Apache Spark, dbt, Airflow, and SSIS.

The successful candidate will play a key role in scaling our data infrastructure, diagnosing performance bottlenecks, and contributing to architectural improvements. They will work closely with the data engineering team to design and maintain ETL pipelines that support Comparative data loads.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in database administration and performance tuning
  • Strong SQL expertise with proven ability to refactor complex queries
  • Familiarity with Amazon RDS, particularly PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark for distributed data processing
  • Familiarity with dbt for data modeling and transformations
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow
  • (Nice-to-have) Experience working with spatial data formats (postGIS/spatialite)
