Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the mechanical works at our solar project sites meet the required standards and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing mechanical solutions for solar projects, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of our renewable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret mechanical design drawings to ensure compliance with approved engineering designs and industry standards.
  • Prepare and modify site-specific mechanical drawings as needed to accommodate changes in module mounting structures, trackers, and mechanical layouts.
  • Conduct wind load and structural stability checks for site-specific conditions to ensure the integrity of our solar power plants.
  • Verify MMS foundation positions, tilt angles, and row spacing to guarantee alignment with design specifications.
  • Support fabrication, welding, and erection quality checks against approved standards to ensure high-quality construction.
  • Provide design clarifications and modifications at the site, coordinating with the Head Office for approvals.
  • Issue red-marked drawings and as-built drawings after execution to document changes and updates.
  • Coordinate with civil and electrical teams to resolve interdisciplinary design issues and ensure seamless integration.
  • Support site teams in resolving mechanical erection bottlenecks and torque requirements, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design revisions, approvals, and as-built records for future reference.

Qualification & Experience/ Skills Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design/drafting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of MMS, trackers, and steel structures used in solar projects.
  • Understanding of IS/IEC codes, wind load standards, welding/fabrication practices.
  • Ability to perform basic structural calculations for MMS and support structures.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection of welding, bolting, and module installation.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills for site-level challenges.
  • B.E./B.tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
  • 5–8 years of experience in mechanical design and site execution (solar/renewable/industrial projects preferred).
