What You'll Be Doing
  • Design and maintain intricate data pipelines connecting Aurora MySQL → Redshift Serverless → S3/QuickSight for seamless data flow.
  • Develop efficient data models, materialized views, and APIs to facilitate rapid reporting and analytics.
  • Streamline scheduled reporting workflows and exports for clients and administrators.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver actionable insights promptly.
  • Evaluate the performance, reliability, and scalability of our analytics infrastructure to ensure optimal outcomes.
Must-Have Skills
  • Proficiency in AWS data stack (Aurora, Redshift, S3, Lambda/EventBridge) for robust data management.
  • Solid SQL and data modeling expertise (fact/dimension schemas, materialized views) for informed decision-making.
  • Familiarity with BI tools like QuickSight, Metabase, or Superset for streamlined analytics.
  • Understanding of IAM, security, and data governance principles for secure data handling.
Good to Have
  • Experience with Python (and libraries like awswrangler for data automation) for enhanced data processing.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks (Glue, Airflow, dbt) for optimized data transfer.
  • Understanding of data lake best practices (Parquet, partitioning) for efficient data storage.
  • Comfort with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK) for automated infrastructure deployment.
  • Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS reporting architectures for flexible reporting solutions.
