Job Title: Intellectual Property Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intellectual Property Manager to join our team.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and protecting our company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights. This includes conducting thorough searches, drafting and filing applications, and prosecuting patents through to grant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of intellectual property law and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all IP assets, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
  • Conduct thorough searches of existing trademarks and patents to ensure brand protection.
  • Draft and file patent applications in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prosecute patents through to grant, working closely with external counsel as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement IP strategies that support business objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IP laws and regulations in key jurisdictions.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, preferably at a law firm or in-house IP department.
  • Experience in conducting trademark availability searches and providing advisory on availability of marks from TM Registry's database.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify solutions.
  • A strong understanding of IP laws and regulations in key jurisdictions, including India and international markets.
