Our team is seeking a visionary Senior Data Scientist to join our EO Applied Data Science (EO Data) Team.

We are driven by foundational research and development in applied machine learning. With a plethora of geospatial data science use cases, such as land use and land cover classification, crop classification, and change detection, we are now focusing on advancing the next-generation machine learning applications.

We look forward to applying our research to critical products, touching the lives of millions of users through revolutionary, real-time software systems utilizing terabytes of data. At the core of these systems, we envision foundational geospatial data science models that are season, modality, and ground-agnostic.

We have been at the forefront of adaptable and efficient models, evidenced by our findings through publications at top conferences.

  • Technical Leadership:
  • Create technical roadmaps and charters to assist the science manager in resource management. Mentor science staff and projects.
  • Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, MLOps, and geospatial experts to envision solutions to real-world business use cases.
  • Focused on identifying customer problems and solving them with simple and elegant solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end solutioning of large-scale ML applications, from resource gathering to deployment.
  • Brainstorm, implement, debug system fundamentals, write clean code, and conduct A/B testing.
  • Define output metrics and calibrate them to business metrics.
  • Communicate findings verbally and in writing to stakeholders.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts to meet ambitious goals.
  • Innovate and advance State-Of-The-Art solutions and communicate findings.

Qualifications:

  • M.Tech, MS (Research), PhD in a technical field, preferably from leading academic or industrial labs.
  • 2-6 years of experience working on industry projects, from proof-of-concept to deployment.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a technical leader, managing multiple projects and people.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in computer vision, NLP, learning theory, optimization, and ML+Systems.
  • Technically familiar with CNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, UNet, and other architectures.
  • Prior publications in top conferences will be given preference.
  • Proficiency in Python and strong hands-on experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch.
