Java Software Engineer

As a core member of an agile team, you will drive user story analysis and elaboration to design and develop responsive web applications using best engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing hands-on software development, focusing on writing code, unit tests, proof of concepts, code reviews, and testing in ongoing sprints
  • Developing a deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within supported domains

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent technical discipline; 3-4 years of work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience working in Java, with good knowledge of the language
  • Able to demonstrate good web fundamentals and HTTP protocol knowledge
  • Good attitude, communication skills, willingness to learn, and collaborate

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with Java 11 and above
  • Developing Java applications in frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Dropwizard
  • Recent experience working with JavaScript on Node stack
  • Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, GUI testing, web service testing, browser compatibility testing
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment
  • Agile or SAFe development environment
  • Distributed systems
  • Scalable web application using Java
