Job Opportunity:

The Hardware Design Engineer is responsible for driving the hardware architecture and component selection/decision for the next generation automotive audio system. They specialize in selecting and recommending next generation semiconductor solutions, circuit/PCB designing, and developing electronic components and systems that power car audio systems, ensuring high-quality sound and seamless integration with vehicle technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HW architecture and component selection/decision for the next generation automotive audio system
  • Select and recommend next generation semiconductor solutions for automotive audio
  • Design and develop electronic components and systems that power car audio systems
  • Collaborate closely with vehicle Architecture/system Design, safety engineer & Buyer/purchasing to ensure chosen components meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements
  • Technical expertise in recommending and proposing electronic audio components, such as Audio amplifiers, Microphone interface/Audio ADC, Audio DSP, Audio power circuitry/PMIC, Speaker interface, Digital audio interfaces (A2B, Ethernet, etc)
  • Familiarity with relevant automotive safety and quality standards, such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100
  • Experience with acoustic measurement instruments and audio data acquisition, analysis systems, and Audio Precision
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunication, or equivalent Engineering
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive embedded electronics designs or hardware/system architectural role
  • Knowledge of In-vehicle infotainment system, Audio system, Automotive vehicle connectivity systems, and ECU design, development, and testing
  • Experience in Automotive ECU design, Audio standards, automotive testing and certification
  • Strong teamwork spirit, excellent oral and written communication skills
