Senior Substation Automation Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automation Specialist with 8-12 years of experience to lead the design and development of automated systems and processes.
- Job Summary:
The ideal candidate has a strong background in substation or industrial automation, is proficient in leading teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments, and has expert knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC-61850.
This role requires an individual dedicated to maintaining the highest quality and performance standards, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a talent for facilitation, team building, and problem-solving.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead the understanding of project scope and execute all engineering activities from design to implementation.
- System Design: Design substation and industrial automation systems, including network architectures, I/O signal lists, and schematic drawings.
- Configuration & Testing: Develop configurations and settings for network switches, data concentrators, RTUs, SCADA systems, and PLCs.
- Team Coordination & Mentorship: Coordinate design activities with other departments and provide leadership, training, and mentorship to team members.
- Required Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Instrumentation.
- Experience: 8-12 years of work experience in the design, configuration, or testing of substation automation systems or PLC-based projects.
