Senior VFX Artist and Mentor

We are seeking an experienced Senior VFX Artist to join our team as a mentor. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Houdini Software Training, particularly in RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on Houdini software for film and advertising needs, from basic to advanced levels.
  • Provide expert guidance on creating convincing Lookdev results for clients.
  • Offer solutions for integration between Houdini and Autodesk Maya or Blender.
  • Lead effective teaching sessions for in-house VFX artists to enhance their skills.
  • Share insights into the experience of a VFX artist in the global cinema industry.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • Strong understanding of the overall VFX workflow and production process.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles, preferably in Nuke.
  • BASIC knowledge of the Blender workflow is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Proficiency in English language.
