Job Title: CBM Well Planning Lead

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive well planning strategies for complex CBM wells, integrating technical and operational expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of well delivery projects.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of drilling and completion technologies to optimize well design and performance.
  • Lead the development of detailed Basis of Design (BoD) and risk registers to inform well planning decisions.

What We're Looking For:

  • A highly skilled well engineer with a strong background in CBM operations and experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in well design software, including Landmark, WellPlan, Compass, StressCheck, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • Over 10 years of upstream oil and gas experience, with at least 3 years specifically in CBM operations.
  • Proven experience in well design and engineering for low-pressure, unconventional gas wells.
  • Hands-on exposure to CBM-specific challenges such as coal stability, dewatering strategies, and completions.
