Financial Crimes Prevention Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Crimes Prevention Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and preventing fraudulent activities, conducting investigations, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client due diligence to gather information on identity verification, source of funds, and beneficial ownership.
  • Perform initial checks on client documents and data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Support research using various databases and sources to verify client information.
  • Evaluate client risk levels based on business activities, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
  • Conduct sanctions screening and adverse media screening of customers using specialized tools and databases.
  • Analyze screening results to identify matches with sanctioned individuals, entities, or countries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all clients, including KYC profiles and ongoing monitoring records.
  • Conduct reviews for ongoing monitoring of client accounts, including periodic reviews and event-driven reviews.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
  • Experience in KYC, AML compliance, or a related role within the consulting or finance industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are desirable.
