Director of Higher Education Policy

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our higher education policy initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the higher education landscape and be able to interface with stakeholders at mid-senior level.

  • Key qualifications include a comprehensive understanding of higher education policy, regulatory frameworks, and research methodologies.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent presentation skills, experience in project management, and proficiency in MS office suite.

Main Responsibilities:

Thought Leadership/Policy Advocacy
  • Develop thought leadership papers, reports, and articles on key higher education topics.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, government ministries, and other relevant stakeholders to develop FICCI inputs and recommendations.
FICCI Higher Education Committee & Taskforces
  • Conduct committee meetings, develop agendas, prepare minutes, and identify expert groups for specific sectoral issues.
  • Work with task forces to develop papers, execute projects, and mobilize new members.
Higher Education Summit (HES)
  • Organize and manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit.
  • Design conference programs, identify national and international partners, and manage masterclasses and workshops.
Projects
  • Identify and execute projects in industry-academia engagement, reconnect with NKFH partners, and initiate activities based on the NKFH framework.
  • Organize capacity building programs for faculty and higher education leadership.
Webinars/Workshops/Masterclasses/Delegations
  • Ideate and execute masterclasses, workshops, and webinars on relevant topics.
  • Develop partnerships with external partners and generate revenue for the organization.
Reports/Recommendations
  • Monitor government announcements and develop FICCI inputs and recommendations.
  • Work with the Knowledge Partner to provide information through secondary research for the annual FICCI Knowledge report.
FICCI Eduwrap
  • Collate news items and articles for the bi-monthly sectoral newsletter.
  • Mobilize potential partners for advertisements in the eduwrap.
