The Physiotherapy Principal role requires a leader who can balance academic and administrative responsibilities.

Job Overview:

This position involves providing academic leadership, overseeing day-to-day administration of the Physiotherapy Department, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and knowledge of physiotherapy education and pedagogy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Academic Leadership
    • Plan, implement, and monitor academic programs to ensure excellence in teaching and research.
    • Supervise curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment.
    • Guide faculty in research, publications, and participation in academic forums.
  • Administrative & Managerial
    • Oversee the recruitment, mentorship, and evaluation of faculty and staff performance.
    • Prepare budgets and manage resources to ensure infrastructure adequacy.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and maintain proper records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities.
    • Foster collaboration with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Engage with parents, students, and alumni to strengthen institutional reputation.
    • Organize workshops, CMEs, and conferences to enhance learning exposure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: MPT / Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory).
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a Professor/Head role.
