About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security and Environment Manager to join our team at Okta, Inc. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $120,000 per year.

Job Summary

The Cloud Security and Environment Manager will be responsible for overseeing the configurations, security, and maintenance of Okta BT applications. This includes ensuring the reliability, security, and compliance of our platform environments. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain robust security controls, manage environment refreshes, apply patches and upgrades, and enforce standard processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain multiple environments to support various stages of the software development life cycle.
  • Monitor and manage integrations with internal and external systems and platforms.
  • Help coordinate an Integration Center of Excellence to facilitate integration-related training, best practices, and information sharing across organizations.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of current industry standards relating to enterprise software applications and how they are installed, configured, and supported in an enterprise environment.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Manage cloud and on-premise environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
  • Perform regular platform updates and patches, ensuring system stability and security compliance.
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments.
  • Develop scripts or use automation tools to automate the process of refreshing environments.
  • Schedule regular automated environment refreshes to ensure consistency and data integrity across environments.
  • Configure automated security monitoring tools to detect and alert on suspicious activities, unauthorized access attempts, or potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Automate the process of masking data in test environments to ensure sensitive data remains protected and comply with data protection regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 3+ years of experience in the administration and maintenance of applications like Salesforce, Boomi, Netsuite.
  • Expertise in managing Salesforce upgrades, refreshes, and ensuring successful integration.
  • Configure and implement data masking solutions or tools compatible with Salesforce to replace or conceal sensitive data.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance Salesforce functionality and efficiency.
  • Experience in automation and scripting languages like Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab, Python, etc.
  • Utilize expertise in cloud security to implement and maintain security controls, monitoring, and compliance measures for cloud-based applications.
  • Experience coaching and developing individuals for increased effectiveness and working with a geographically dispersed workforce is a plus. Willingness to learn and master unfamiliar technologies and/or concepts.
  • Oversee data quality and integrity within Salesforce.
  • Excellent verbal and written technical documentation skills.
