Improve Distribution Operations with SCADA Expertise

About the Role:
  • This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your knowledge of distribution automation systems and contribute to the advancement of power grid management.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Configure, test, and deploy GE PowerOn Advantage/ADMS modules for seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  2. Customize business logic, alarms, telemetry points, and control actions to enhance system performance.
  3. Develop scripts in PL/SQL, Shell, and Perl to automate data processing and optimize system operations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems with GIS, AMI, OMS, and enterprise platforms.
  5. Implement and support advanced technologies such as FLISR, Volt/VAR Optimization, Load Forecasting, and Switching Plans.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve real-time operational issues on SCADA/DMS platforms to ensure high uptime and efficiency.
  7. Provide expert training, documentation, and L2/L3 support to control room operators.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SCADA/ADMS/OMS engineering within the electric utility sector.
  • Hands-on experience with GE PowerOn (Advantage / Fusion / Control) is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with SCADA protocols (DNP3, IEC 101/104, Modbus) is essential.
  • Strong scripting skills in PL/SQL, Shell, and Perl are required.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) is necessary.
  • Understanding of distribution network modeling and GIS-to-ADMS mapping is desirable.
