Job Role:

SAP Ariba Consultant

This role is responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and developing strategic plans for IT hardware and software requirements.

  • Review supplier contracts to identify commercial risks and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Develop comprehensive procurement strategies for assigned commodities and items, incorporating negotiation tactics consistent with business needs.
  • Provide relevant information to management for tracking cost reductions and savings.
  • Collaborate with category managers for strategic planning of IT hardware and software requirements.
  • Track, follow up, and resolve PR and PO issues to ensure process compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with internal customers and serve as the focal point for all procurement and sourcing activities.
  • Maintain purchase order tracking procedures for statistical submission and evaluation of spend.
  • Conduct spend analysis for India and provide reports identifying cost efficiency opportunities and ideas to save costs, reduce inventory, and improve supplier performance.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Purchase function in India.
  • Collaborate with Global Teams to achieve cost-competitive purchasing within stipulated timelines with good quality.
  • Arrange sample materials for fulfilling stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide local Procurement support for the rollout of SAP and Ariba systems.
