Job Overview and Responsibilities

The role of Corporate Counsel is a vital component in ensuring the organization's adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an Ethics and Compliance Framework that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Create dashboards to track compliance cases reported by employees or HR, and collaborate with the People Team to investigate any violations of Compliance policies.
  • Act as an Ethics Mentor and work closely with Ethics Ambassadors to promote awareness and understanding of the Ethics Framework among employees.
  • Organize annual compliance events for all employees to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a compliant work environment.
  • Collaborate with Labor Consultants to ensure compliance with labor laws applicable to the organization.
  • Report compliance findings and risks to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage and update the GIS team on all compliance matters related to the organization in regular calls.
  • Assign Compliance training and drive awareness programs for employees at all levels to ensure they understand compliance requirements.
  • Report Compliance KPIs on a quarterly basis to local leadership and the Global Compliance Training team.
  • Coordinate with Auditors during internal and external audits on matters related to compliance.

Additional project and ad hoc work may be assigned to support the compliance and ethics function.

Requirements
  • A university degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • A Law degree or equivalent from a reputable law school preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional credentials.
  • At least 10 years of experience in implementing compliance programs, ensuring labor compliance, and exposure to employee relations-related responsibilities.
