Accounting Manager Position Overview

The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Vice President of Accounting by providing organized and detail-oriented professional services for full-cycle accounting support within the Finance division.


Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in supervising, managing, and coordinating accounting personnel under their charge.
  • Timely and accurate financial analyses of entities.
  • Monthly close: allocations, accruals, and timely financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure the integrity of the General Ledger (GL) accounting system, specifically the chart of accounts and subaccount list.
  • Update and maintain policies & procedure documentation.
Leadership and Team Management
  • Manage financial staff results through coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and performance assessment.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and transactional review.
  • Monthly revenue and expense analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial statement, loan covenants, cash-flow monitoring, and variance analysis.
Communication and Client Relations
  • Cultivate professional relationships with banks and other agencies to resolve issues and respond to inquiries.
  • Support audit preparations.
  • Meet contractual commitments to clients through timely and accurate reporting and issue resolution.
