HCLTech is hiring for Splunk Engineer for Bengaluru, Chennai, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai locations.

Work Mode: Work from Office
Experience: 3 to 8 years
Notice Period - Immediate Joiner to 30 Days

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and optimize Splunk data ingestion pipelines for fault and performance management, covering real-time ingestion from SNMP, syslog, and API sources.
Build and maintain custom Splunk apps and add-ons to extend Splunk's functionality, integrating external systems with Splunk for enhanced data analytics and monitoring.
Design and implement Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to specific use cases like 5G Core, CPAR, CPNR, and DC Compute.
Write and optimize complex SPL queries for efficient search and real-time data visualization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data ingestion requirements and translate them into custom Splunk apps and addons.
Automate repetitive Splunk tasks and configurations using Python scripting and work on system integrations leveraging Splunk SDK.
Ensure seamless ingestion of high-volume log data from various sources and validate proper data parsing, indexing, and searchability.
Troubleshoot Splunk infrastructure and data ingestion issues, and optimize indexing, forwarding, and clustering for high performance.
Manage and scale Splunk clusters, and support high availability and disaster recovery configurations.

Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a Splunk Engineer, including hands-on experience with Splunk app/addon development and data pipeline management.
Strong skills in SPL, with the ability to write efficient queries and build dashboards.
Experience developing and maintaining custom Splunk apps and addons using Python or JavaScript.
Knowledge of data ingestion techniques via syslog, SNMP, REST APIs, and other external data sources.
Experience in automating Splunk processes using scripting languages like Python or Bash.
Strong understanding of Splunk architecture (forwarders, indexers, search heads) and clustering.
Familiarity with Linux environments, basic networking (syslog, SNMP), and scripting for Splunk configuration automation.
Certifications-– Optional: Splunk Certified Admin or Developer certification is a plus
