JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Program Officer, the Project Coordinator shall be responsible for monitoring and documenting projects and programs at partner hospitals and organizations and throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they are appropriately classified, filed, stored, and accessible, while also maintaining internal standards. The role is tasked with improving the program quality, monitoring, day-to-day management of program activities, and evidencing our work. The role provides support to the program and operations team, assisting with the implementation and measurement of impact.The role is vital for the coordination and management of growing country programs with a focus on program implementation and monitoring. S/he will assist the program officers and country team in preparing reports, documenting the learning of Seva programs in the region. The postholder shall play an important role in development, and implementation of the programs with key Seva partners. S/he will also be responsible for strengthening Seva’s eye health programs through regular monitoring of Vision Centers, providing technical support for training and capacity-building initiatives, and supporting documentation and reporting processes as part of Seva's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) model.Key Job Responsibilities:(A) Project Monitoring and Impact Assessment:(1) Support in facilitating and monitoring Seva-supported programs/ activities against deliverables as per key program drivers;(2) Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities, including review of field reports and feedback from partners;(3) Support data collection, analysis, and documentation of field findings, best practices, and success stories;(4) Track and update the key performance indicators and activities to monitor and examine the progress toward desired outcomes;(5) Consolidate, analyze, synthesize, and disseminate key programmatic insights with the team and partners monthly and quarterly;(6) Coordinate all the assessments, evaluations, and performance evaluation tasks, including planning and reporting on the same.(B) Project Implementation: (1) Support India team in coordinating with partner hospitals and government stakeholders;(2) Ensure compliance with Seva’s quality standards and program guidelines during field implementation;(3) Conduct periodic visits to Vision Centers and hospitals to assess performance, service delivery quality, and adherence to standard protocols;(4) Provide on-site technical support to Vision Technicians and field teams to strengthen clinical and operational quality;(5) Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions for community health workers, Vision Technicians, and other program staff on eye care practices and primary screening.(C) Reporting, Evidencing, and Data Management (1) Desk research and prepare concept notes on important issues related to Seva’s program driver, including primary eye health, health policies, and eye hospital management;(2) Write and contribute to reports, publications, and edit the documents to ensure accuracy.(3) Draft report, conduct literature search, and review;(4) Support the development of coherent and coordinated research activities related to the Seva Foundation’s work, which will share best practices and learnings in the development sector;(5) Stakeholders, including the dissemination of lessons learned and best practices.4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:Qualification(1) Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in optometry (B.Optom) or equivalent from a recognized institution.Experience (1) Minimum three years of relevant experience in community or hospital-based eye care programs;(2) Experience in vision center operations, outreach screening, or eye health training is desirable.Skills and Competencies(1) Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills;(2) Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable working with data.Attributes:The incumbent should be capable of managing multiple and complex tasks; thrive under pressure, time, and complexity; have strong people skills and the ability to develop a strong team spirit; and be capable of interfacing successfully with internal actors, donors, and partners to resolve program issues. The incumbent should be well-organized and self-motivated with demonstrable writing, management, and creative problem-solving skills.5.
