We are actively hiring Demand Planning manager at Renee Cosmetics:


Job Title: Demand Planning Manager

Location: Ahmedabad

Department: Supply Chain Management


Key Responsibilities:


1. Forecasting & Demand Planning:

- Develop, manage, and maintain accurate demand forecasts at SKU level, considering historical data, market trends, promotions, and new product launches.

- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to gather insights on upcoming promotions, launches, and campaigns to adjust forecasts accordingly.

- Use advanced statistical models, demand planning tools, and industry knowledge to improve forecast accuracy.

- Manage the demand planning process for both existing products and new product introductions.


2. Inventory Management & Optimization:

- Ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet demand while minimizing excess stock, stockouts, and obsolescence.

- Work closely with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of products, both from third-party manufacturers and in-house production.

- Balance inventory levels across multiple locations, including warehouses and retail channels, while monitoring product lifecycle and expiration dates.

- Manage inventory for seasonal demand fluctuations and high-growth products within the cosmetics sector.


3. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):

- Lead the S&OP process by facilitating monthly cross-functional meetings, aligning supply and demand, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.

- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment between business plans and demand forecasts.

- Identify and escalate any supply or demand imbalances and work with relevant teams to mitigate potential risks.


4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, and demand variability.

- Provide detailed reporting and analysis of demand planning performance, offering insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

- Continuously improve demand planning processes, leveraging data analytics, new technologies, and best practices in the industry.


5. Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, supply chain, and product development teams to ensure alignment on demand expectations and production capabilities.

- Coordinate with third-party manufacturers and logistics providers to ensure smooth supply chain operations and timely product availability.


6. New Product Launches:

- Work closely with the New Product Development (NPD) and marketing teams to forecast demand for new launches and limited-edition products.

- Ensure that all demand plans account for promotional activities, media campaigns, and product positioning in the market.

- Manage the lifecycle of new products, ensuring optimal inventory and phasing out older SKUs.


Key Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management, preferably in the beauty, cosmetics, or consumer goods industry.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.

- Proficiency in demand planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of market trends, consumer behavior, and supply chain practices specific to the beauty and cosmetics industry.
