Job Description:We are seeking an experienced accounting professional with expertise in union payroll and benefits to join our team.Key ResponsibilitiesUnion Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of union workers' wages in compliance with California regulations.Benefits & Deductions: Track, calculate, and reconcile union benefits, pension contributions, health insurance, and other deductions.Compliance & Reporting: Maintain adherence to prevailing wage laws, certified payroll reporting (Davis-Bacon Act), and California union labor laws.Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices related to labor costs and track payments to workers and benefits providers.Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in payroll-related accounts.Financial Documentation: Maintain accurate payroll records, generate reports, and assist in audits related to union labor costs.Required Skills & Qualifications:To succeed in this role, you will need:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of experience in union payroll accounting, preferably for construction subcontractors in California.Strong understanding of union wage structures, benefits, and prevailing wage laws.Proficiency in QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar accounting software.Experience with certified payroll reporting (Davis-Bacon Act) and union benefits reconciliation.
