Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Art Director oversees the creation of 2D art through hands-on tasks, providing art direction, and leading a team of artists.Deliverables:Define and own the art vision, style guides, and visual identity for the game(s).Contribute to the creation of concept art, mood boards, key frames, style frames, and reference guides to communicate direction.Manage the art production pipelines, scheduling, and task distribution to ensure timely delivery.Collaboration with Game DevelopersCollaborate with game designers, engineers, and product managers to align art with mechanics, UX, and performance budgets.Review and approve art assets (character models, environments, props, animations, UI, effects) to maintain quality, consistency & technical feasibility.Requirements and QualificationsStrong skills in conception, 2D art, with a clear understanding of technical pipelines and familiarity with optimizing and implementing art assets for game engines.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to drive innovation and stay up-to-date with industry trends and R&D.Additional InformationRepresent the art team in cross-functional leadership meetings and external presentations.Develop training materials and events to develop the skills of the art team and raise the quality bar within the studio.
