Desktop Support ProfessionalThe role of a Desktop Support Specialist involves providing second-level technical support for desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripheral issues. This includes diagnosing and resolving advanced technical issues escalated from the L1 support team.Responsibilities also include installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, software applications, and system updates. Additionally, this position performs root cause analysis to identify recurring technical problems and develop solutions.Furthermore, the Desktop Support Specialist will assist with network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN, and collaborate with IT team members on projects, upgrades, and implementations.To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are beneficial but not required.
