The role of the Senior Business Analyst will be a client facing lead to facilitate the delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions consistently to schedule. This person will be an inquisitive and detailed analyst that understands a broad range of business processes and domains and can quickly get up to speed on our clients’ business processes and needs and can create exceptional documentation that will be a key driver of our IT development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • A major responsibility for this position is to take primary responsibility for the creation and update of the BRS (Business Requirements Specification) for all of our projects.
  • Client-facing role - you will participate in requirements-gathering sessions with our clients and accurately document detailed requirements for client projects.
  • You will also review Zoom recordings, “AI Meeting Assistant” summary and detailed notes and update appropriate sections of the BRS to requirements discussed in Zoom meetings.
  • Review client documents and materials, review client web sites, perform appropriate research to: (a) Thoroughly document existing/AS-IS client business processes, client domain concepts and terminology, key industry processes related to client domain, etc., (b) Understand and document client requirements for changes to their existing business processes (TO-BE state), (c) Work with our technical team to understand and document UI (user interfaces and UI flows) and data flows in support of client requirements.
  • Run JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions with clients to extract business, UI and data requirements.
  • Build out User Journeys, User Stories and Epics in Jira
  • Create detailed client process-flows (using Lucid.app) to be used as the basis for delivery of Requirement and Statement of Work documents.
  • Conduct meetings with our Development and QA teams to explain client requirements & client business processes to them.
  • Support DevOps by working side-by-side with 7T Engineering delivery teams to support each agile sprint / release delivered.
  • Gather and document data requirements for the project and create high-level data schema for the project.
  • Produce source-to-target data mapping documents and source-to-target transformation rules.
  • Deliver high quality work and adapt to new challenges, as an individual or as part of a team.


Skill Set

  • Exceptional writing and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated prior experience with creating detailed BRSes, process and data flow diagrams,
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and processes.
  • Prior experience with JIRA and Confluence applications.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and a solid understanding of relational databases



Experience

  • 10 + years of relevant technology consulting or industry experience in areas such as Information delivery, Analytics and Business Intelligence and Data Management.
  • Prior experience working for a software services company
  • Has been directly involved in the creation of detailed BRSes (Business Requirements Specifications)
  • Nice to have: Experienced in managing projects including estimates, budget, and status reporting is a plus.
  • Nice to have: Agile/Scrum Development management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management & Information Sciences (MIS), Finance, or Business
