The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling, SQL development, database administration, and solution architecture, along with experience integrating with data lakes and microservices/Spring Boot environments.This role requires strong technical leadership, the ability to design scalable architectures, and proficiency in optimizing performance for high-throughput, distributed systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign end-to-end, scalable solution architectures integrating databases, data lakes, and microservices.Build and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for both OLTP and OLAP workloads.Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for high-performance applications.Architect and implement distributed database and data lake ecosystems using Iceberg, Parquet, and modern query engines.Integrate databases with microservices/Spring Boot applications ensuring correct transaction isolation, concurrency control, and reliability.Perform performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization for large-scale workloads.Administer PostgreSQL and CockroachDB, including installation, configuration, backup/recovery, monitoring, and disaster recovery.Work cross-functionally with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.Required Skills & Experience5+ years of combined experience in database development, data modeling, data architecture, DBA operations, and solution architecture.Strong proficiency with SQL, PostgreSQL, and CockroachDB.Deep understanding of performance tuning for distributed and high-throughput data systems.Experience with microservices architecture, Spring Boot, and understanding of transaction isolation & concurrency control.Good knowledge of ETL pipelines, data warehousing concepts, and data integration best practices.Preferred SkillsExperience with Cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-prem OpenShift environments.Scripting and automation experience using Python, Shell, Ansible, etc.Familiarity with data governance, MDM, data cataloging, and data quality frameworks.Interested Candidates please share your CV to vamsi.v@people-prime.com
