Job OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on System & Network Administrator to manage and support Linux servers, firewalls, and network switches in a production environment. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, direct device access, and ownership of infrastructure stability, security, and performance.This position is suited for someone who is comfortable working on CLI-based Linux systems and network devices, handling real-world incidents, and implementing best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu preferred)Perform OS hardening and security configuration aligned with CIS benchmarksMonitor system performance and troubleshoot CPU, memory, disk, and network issuesConfigure and manage firewalls (FortiGate / Cisco / Palo Alto or similar)Create and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurationsConfigure and troubleshoot network switches (Cisco / Huawei / Dell)Manage VLANs, trunk/access ports, and basic routingTroubleshoot network connectivity, latency, and packet loss issuesProvide Tier-2 / Tier-3 support for infrastructure incidentsMaintain documentation for server builds, firewall rules, and network topologyCoordinate with IT, DevOps, and Security teams for infrastructure changesRequired Skills & Experience3–4 years of hands-on experience in system and network administrationStrong experience with:Linux servers (Ubuntu)Firewalls (FortiGate / Cisco / Palo Alto)Network switches (Cisco / Huawei / Dell)Solid understanding of:TCP/IP, DNS, DHCPVLANs, routing, and NATFirewall security policies and VPNsStrong troubleshooting skills using CLI toolsPreferred (Good to Have)CIS hardening experienceMonitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ZabbixSNMP, syslog, NetFlowBash or Python scriptingCCNA / CCNP or equivalent networking knowledgeSoft SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilityOwnership mindset and attention to detailClear documentation and communication skills
