Senior Mortgage Underwriter

Job Title: Senior Mortgage Underwriter We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mortgage underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing loan applications and making informed decisions about whether to approve or deny them. Responsibilities:Analyzing income and employment information to determine the borrower's creditworthiness;Reviewing property appraisals and title reports to ensure that the loan is properly secured;Calculating loan-to-value (LTV) and debt-to-income (DTI) ratios to determine the borrower's ability to repay the loan;Identifying and mitigating risks associated with each loan application;Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of federal and state lending laws and regulations;Collaborating with other members of the loan processing team to ensure that loans are processed efficiently and effectively;Communicating complex loan information to borrowers in a clear and concise manner; Requirements:A minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage underwriting;A strong understanding of US mortgage originations, closing procedures, federal and state lending laws;Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;Strong communication and interpersonal skills;Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment; Benefits:A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year;Ongoing training and professional development opportunities;A comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off; What We Offer:A dynamic and supportive work environment;The opportunity to work with a talented and experienced team;Professional growth and development opportunities;A chance to make a real difference in the lives of our customers;
