Lead Enterprise Data GovernanceWe are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our data governance initiatives across multiple business domains. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing governance frameworks, facilitating workshops, and partnering with technology teams to operationalize governance using specialized tools and platforms.The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise, exceptional communication skills, and experience in setting up governance councils, policies, and AI governance practices within an enterprise environment.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and institutionalize data governance frameworks, policies, and processes across business units.Conduct business workshops with enterprise clients to define governance objectives, roles, and ownership models.Establish and formalize the Data Governance Council – document charters, roles, responsibilities, and governance operating models.Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and security teams to implement governance controls using platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Implement and monitor AI governance principles ensuring compliance, ethical AI use, and adherence to organizational policies.Understand diverse business domains to align governance frameworks with business priorities.Ensure all governance processes align with Microsoft Security and Compliance Frameworks, regulatory standards, and enterprise risk guidelines.Partner with senior business leaders, data owners, and IT teams to drive governance adoption and maturity.Requirements:Strong experience in data governance, data management, or information governance within enterprise environments.Proven ability to conduct governance business workshops and translate outcomes into actionable governance models.Experience in establishing and operationalizing governance councils and defining data ownership structures.Hands-on exposure to governance tools and technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Deep understanding of Microsoft's Security and Compliance Framework and its relevance to data governance.Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Demonstrated experience working across multiple industries.Minimum 1 year of experience in AI governance.Preferred Qualifications:8-12 years of total experience with at least 4-5 years in data governance.Certifications in data governance, data management, or Microsoft data/AI certifications are an advantage.Experience working with cloud ecosystems is a plus.Excellent presentation and client engagement skills.What We Offer:We believe in creating an environment where our employees can thrive professionally and personally.
