Mortgage Loan Risk Analyst

Job Description:As an experienced underwriter, you will be responsible for analyzing and approving mortgage loan applications based on various risk factors. This involves reviewing financial data, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine whether a loan is eligible for approval.You will also be required to have a good understanding of US Mortgage Originations, closing procedures, federal and state lending laws, as well as the ability to interpret state rules, statute laws, federal regulations & investor guidelines and apply them to specific loans.A strong analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as you will need to identify potential risks and make informed decisions about loan approvals. Additionally, you should have experience with Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP), as well as a working knowledge of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac Guidelines.The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and clients to resolve any issues that may arise during the loan application process.Key Responsibilities:Analyze loan applications and associated documents to determine eligibility for approvalEvaluate financial data, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess riskIdentify potential red flags and take corrective action as necessaryCommunicate with clients and colleagues to resolve any issues that may arise during the loan application processMaintain accurate records and documentation throughout the loan application processRequirements:3+ years of live Mortgage Underwriting experienceAbility to obtain and decipher AUS findings (DU and LP)Experience in full origination mortgage processing, loan set up, loan documentation, closing, title, quality assurance, compliance, underwriting, or assisting with conventional first mortgage loan productsGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skillsBenefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCollaborative and dynamic work environmentAdditional Information:Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and the company reserves the right to modify it at any time.
