Role: Windows Admin

Location: Bangalore

Experience Range: 4 to 8 years


Job Description:

Desired Competencies:

  • Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.
  • Re-installation in the event of system crash/failures
  • Periodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing, and implementing rectification measures.
  • Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for maintenance of the infrastructure
  • Management of the usernames, roles, and passwords of all the relevant subsystems, including, but not limited to servers, applications, devices, etc.
  • Change Management awareness and process oriented.
  • Implementing security on the Internet and Intranet through VA closure.
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Install and configure software and hardware.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools, Set up accounts and workstations.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements Troubleshoot issues and outages, Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
  • Upgrade/ patching of systems with new releases and models time to time.
  • Maintain cloud infrastructure, application, and database backup.
  • Configure and Maintain Server scaling and High Availability & Disaster Recovery
  • Discussing system and server upgrades with IT managers.
  • Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.
  • Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users.
  • Troubleshooting system and server errors.
  • Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.
  • Managing user access.
  • Monitoring system performance.
  • Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.
  • Extensive knowledge on fundamentals of VMware/Hyper-V and related technologies
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ability to create scripts in PowerShell.
  • Should have worked on Vulnerability closure.
  • Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.
  • Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.
  • Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in handling large setups with a good understanding of about Windows OS
  • Understanding of DR and BCP
  • Should have a good understanding of Storage and SAN technologies.
  • Should be able to work in shifts and travel across various location in India
  • Good communication skills to connect with end users / clients


Good To Have:

  • Proficiency in handling large setups with a good understanding of Windows OS, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory
  • Understanding of DR and BCP
  • Certification in any of the above virtualization platforms
