Job TitleDairy Professional – Climate Smart Dairy ExpertiseAbout the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dairy Professional – Climate Smart Dairy Expertise. As a key member of our project, you will play a crucial role in enhancing scientific and technical collaboration and research on climate smart dairy in India.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport multi-disciplinary research and implementation projects across livestock and dairy in India, enhancing technical, scientific and operational capacity.Act as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring alignment on science and research priorities.Contribute to knowledge exchange between India-based and international teams.Provide technical and scientific support to partners.Contribute to landscape assessments of livestock and dairy sector challenges in target geographies.Provide insights and analysis to inform decision-making on collaborative agriculture, water and food projects.Build and maintain relationships with local partners, dairy companies, milk cooperatives, technical and scientific research institutions, stakeholders, and governmental agencies.Represent the organization at meetings and events.Help document progress and prepare reports.Participate in cross-time-zone meetings.Balance real-time and asynchronous communication effectively.Contribute to white papers, blog posts, and other written materials.Support fundraising and grant writing.RequirementsBachelor's degree in veterinary sciences and animal husbandry (BVSc & AH) and at least 7 years of related experience, or a master's degree in animal nutrition and at least 5 years of related experience.Minimum 7 years' relevant work experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Fluency in English and knowledge of Marathi language beneficial for this position.Cross-functional collaboration, technical capacity building, partner engagement, project management, time zone coordination, communications, equity and inclusion, and competencies like self-awareness, cultural competency, and inclusivity.BenefitsBe part of a passionate team committed to driving social impact through meaningful, well-executed projects.
