The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in data quality, metadata management, and compliance, coupled with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams to drive governance maturity across the organization.Roles and Responsibilities:Design, implement, and oversee data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices across business units.Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship models, and accountability structures.Establish and track key data governance KPIs, integrate dashboards, and provide actionable insights and reports for leadership.Lead initiatives around data quality management, including profiling, issue identification, remediation planning, and monitoring.Maintain and enhance data lineage, metadata, and master data management (MDM) processes and repositories.Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, or other data privacy mandates).Partner with business and IT teams to embed governance practices into data projects and transformation initiatives.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on governance standards, data policies, and operational execution.Contribute to the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.Drive continuous improvement in data governance capabilities through proactive process enhancements and stakeholder engagement.Requirements & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.4+ years of hands-on experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management.Proven experience in developing and operationalizing data governance frameworks within medium to large organizations.Strong understanding of data quality concepts, metadata management, lineage, and MDM practices.Familiarity or hands-on experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or similar platforms.Knowledge of SQL and general database concepts preferred.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a mindset for driving data excellence and accountability.BenefitsIn addition to a competitive compensation package, we offer abundant opportunities for you to achieve, excel, and surpass even your own expectations.
