Job Title: Director of Operational ExcellenceKey Responsibilities:Operational Leadership:Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing process to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.Develop and implement production schedules to meet timelines and cost targets.Monitor and optimize production processes to ensure highest product quality and minimal downtime.Maintain compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.Team Management & Development:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and other staff.Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for performance improvement.Ensure adequate training and skill development programs for production staff.Quality Assurance:Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.Implement corrective actions when deviations from quality standards are observed.Safety and Compliance:Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.Conduct regular safety audits and ensure safety training is conducted for all staff.Investigate any safety incidents or accidents and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.Cost Optimization:Monitor and control production costs to maintain efficiency while ensuring product quality.Implement measures to reduce waste, optimize energy consumption, and improve operational cost efficiency.Ensure effective use of resources (materials, labor, equipment) to maximize production output while minimizing cost.Equipment Maintenance:Ensure plant equipment and machinery are well-maintained and operating at peak performance.Coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule regular preventive maintenance and unplanned repairs.Assess and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements as necessary.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, automation, and lean manufacturing practices.Lead or participate in root cause analysis of production issues and develop corrective action plans.Implement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall plant performance.Reporting & Communication:Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics like output, efficiency, downtime, and quality.Communicate effectively with senior management, reporting on any critical issues or potential disruptions in the production process.Liaise with other departments (logistics, procurement, etc.) to ensure smooth operations across the plant.Requirements:5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proven track record of driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and process improvements.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.Benefits:Competitive salary and bonus structure.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A dynamic and supportive work environment.
