Key Responsibilities:The role holder must be able to identify, understand and enable the remediation of financial crime threats to the bank in support of Investigations, the 1st and/or 2nd lines of defence and develop of own analyst production plan as well.The role holder must be able to produce timely, accurate and succinct analytical reports to articulate the strategic implications of the analysis on financial crime threat themes that have the potential to create material impact on the financial results, reputation, or long-term business model of the Group to the most senior audiences.The role holder must be able to produce analytical work that leads to new additions of typologies to the Bank’s systems. The work produced will provide greater insight on whether the typology or indicator is covered by our existing control environment and genuinely broadens team’s understanding of illicit methodologies, profiles and behaviours.The role holder needs to develop an expert knowledge of financial crime themes and applying the knowledge to support the build of new typology-driven data analytics, and to suggest and test innovative ways to improve.Able to efficiently prioritize of often competing stakeholder requirements and proactively generate casework, produce well-drafted and peer reviewed analytics products that are tailored to individual customer needs, and require minimal management amendment.Able to work actively as part of a dynamic team – often located in different countries and time zones - including taking on unfamiliar/difficult tasks when necessary. Recognise the regional and global impacts of financial crime, requiring our analysis to be joined up and global in perspective. Flexibility and adaptability are key.Able to develop/participate in collaborative, multi-disciplinary project teams, notably with Subject Matter Experts, Investigations, to share knowledge, develop analysis best practice and analytical narratives. And to bring appropriate analysis support the Lines of Business (LOB).Must adhere to operational controls, as outlined in procedures and policies to ensure risks are identified and managed.Able to contribution to processes for building management information (MI).
Minimum Qualifications and Skills RequiredFinancial crime subject matter expertise to perform proactive analysis.Research oriented analytical mindset and innovative thought process that helps to identify key Financial Crime threat themes for MENAT that can impact bank.Awareness on geopolitical environment in MENAT and its impact.Understanding of regulatory landscape.Understanding the highly complex and constantly changing landscape of investigative and analytics technologyStorytelling and report writing skill.
