Automated Testing StrategistWe are seeking a seasoned Automated Testing Strategist to spearhead our test automation efforts and drive a robust testing strategy across complex systems. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern automated testing frameworks, advising on quality architecture, and embedding quality engineering into every stage of the software development life cycle.You will work at the intersection of software engineering, test architecture, DevOps, and quality strategy, leading both technically and strategically in ensuring high-performance, secure, and resilient systems.Key Responsibilities:Define and own the overall test automation strategyLead and mentor a team of SDETs and QA engineersSet testing standards, best practices, coding standards, and governanceDrive shift-left and shift-right testing strategiesInfluence overall engineering practices to improve reliability and scalabilityTest Architecture & AutomationYou will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks, implementing CI/CD-integrated automated testing pipelines, developing performance, security, reliability, and chaos tests, and ensuring test frameworks support containerized, cloud-native environments.Hands-on DevelopmentThis role involves writing and maintaining high-quality test automation code, reviewing test code and providing technical oversight, championing maintainable, extensible, and reusable frameworks, and participating in root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews.Quality Assurance & Risk ManagementYou will define test strategies for complex systems including distributed systems, microservices, AI/ML pipelines, and high-availability platforms, ensure production readiness for releases, establish and monitor quality metrics (defect escape rate, coverage, MTTR, etc.), and work closely with software engineers, DevOps, architects, and product teams.Required Skills & Experience5+ years in software development and/or test automation3+ years in a lead or senior SDET roleStrong programming experience in at least one language: Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, GoExtensive experience creating and scaling automation frameworks from scratchExpertise in API testing, UI automation, performance testing, CI/CD integration, test containerization, and cloud platformsNice-to-Have / Premium SkillsExperience testing AI/ML systems, models, or data pipelinesExperience in regulated industries (defense, fintech, healthcare)Knowledge of security testing and penetration testing toolsExperience with chaos engineering and observability tools
