SolarWinds Engineer

Job TitleWe are seeking a skilled engineer to manage and optimize our SolarWinds platform.Key Responsibilities:Administer and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as node onboarding/offboarding, alert suppression or muting during maintenance windows, custom alert/report generation and distribution, SolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancements.Implement custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.Build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation.Manage custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.Design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views.Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.Maintain security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging.Contribute to and maintain Kanban board tasks and documentation related to SolarWinds projects and issues.
