Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and ArchitectureDevelop and document high-level and low-level network designs for enterprise environments.Architect scalable solutions leveraging SD-WAN, advanced routing protocols, and switching technologies.Deployment & ImplementationLead the end-to-end deployment and configuration of SD-WAN solutions (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, VeloCloud, Meraki).Implement and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and edge devices.Perform network migrations, upgrades, and integration projects with minimal downtime.Operations & TroubleshootingProvide Level 3 escalation support for complex network issues and outages.Analyze packet captures, logs, and performance metrics to troubleshoot advanced problems.Optimize network performance, latency, and reliability through continuous improvement.Security & ComplianceEnsure network security best practices are applied across all designs and implementations.Work with security teams to enforce policies, firewall rules, and segmentation.Documentation & CollaborationMaintain up-to-date network diagrams, configuration standards, and runbooks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in cloud, security, and infrastructure.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical ExpertiseStrong hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies (deployment, configuration, policy, optimization).Advanced knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS.Strong understanding of Layer 2 & 3 switching, STP, VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, QoS.Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-class networks.Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetFlow, etc.).Familiarity with network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible) is an advantage.CertificationsCCNA or CCNP required (CCNP preferred).Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and documentation abilities.Ability to lead technical initiatives with minimal supervision.Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).Knowledge of firewalls (Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto, Fortinet).ITIL Foundation certification.
